Location Information

Conference Location

The Next Generation of Sustainable Communities Conference will be held on January 24, 2020 in the International Center Multi-Purpose Room located at 463 California Avenue, Davis, CA. We encourage you to use sustainable transportation when possible!

Below we include details on biking, taking the bus, taking the train, and driving a private vehicle.

Bike Parking

Davis is known for its abundance of bike paths. To locate a particular route, please visit the City of Davis website to review the Davis Bike Map. Additionally, there are a number of JUMP Bikes around Davis. For more information JUMP Bikes, please visit their Website.

There is ample bike parking close by the International Center (demarcated below by the bike icons). If you decide to bike to the conference, please note the following when parking on campus:
  1. Make sure to bring and use a bike lock
  2. Park only  in designated bike parking areas
  3. Please wear a helmet

Bus Routes

There are two wonderful bus options for getting around Davis: Unitrans and Yolobus. 

Unitrans is the University of California - Davis student-run campus bus system. Unitrans includes some London-style double-decker buses and serves downtown Davis, the medical centers, West Village, and other nearby locations. Unitrans costs $1.25 per ride. Yolobus is another great option that serves the larger region including Davis, Woodland, and Sacramento. See their bus route map here or visit their Website for more information. Yolobus is bike friendly.

Amtrak

It is also possible to take Amtrak to Davis. The Amtrak stations is located at 840 Second Street. Fares, routes, and times vary - see their Website for more information.

Note that the Amtrak station is about a 25 minute walk or a 10 minute bike ride to the International Center. Davis also has ride-share options including Lyft.

Private Vehicle

Parking costs $10 per day. There are several parking lots and structures in proximity to the International Center (demarcated below by dark blue car icons and the visitor lot name). Please note the following when parking on campus:
  1. Park only in "C" or "Visitor" designated areas.
  2. You will need to display a valid parking permit which can be purchased and printed at the parking kiosks in each parking location. The machines accept Mastercard and Visa (no cash).
  3. Note that if you park in the structure located by Toomey Field, UC Davis practices stacked parking.
